The team, headed by Mr. Gerald Baxter, specialises in judicial review and case stated, particularly, but not exclusively in criminal cases. Whilst the law applied to criminal cases heard in the Queen's Bench Division of the High Court is, in many ways, common to many other areas of judicial review, in other aspects it can be a procedural and substantive minefield that requires a specialised and in-depth knowledge to negotiate successfully when bringing a claim. The judicial review team offers a complete range of services, from initial advice on the merits of a claim and applications for leave and public funding, through to preparation and representation at full contested hearings before the Administrative Court. |
