Charles Lander

I was Born and bred in Liverpool. Having graduated in Law from Leeds University, I was called to the Bar by Lincolns Inn in 1993 and, having completed my pupillage with Mr. Gerry Baxter, became a tenant of these Chambers in 1994.

I defend and prosecute and have conducted trials on all manner of cases including murder, rape, large scale drug conspiracies, death by dangerous driving and other such serious crimes.

I have appeared on a number of occasions in the Court of Appeal and memorably (and successfully) appeared on the House of Lords in the case of R. v. Bentham [2005] 1 W.L.R. 1057.

I am a sports fanatic and follow my football team both home and abroad.
